This was a part of a college project shot on medium format film using a Hasselblad. The project was based around Dublin’s Spire sculpture and how it is used as a meeting point in the city.
The objective was to relay through images how people interact with the sculpture, the notion of the ‘public’ and ‘private’ (personal) space and the juxtaposition of the two.
What I discovered from this is that as a meeting point or public meeting points in general are not without a sense of lonliness to them. There is always a feeling of being on display for all to see, to be observed and the absolute awareness of this happening. (Via emmettc)
